Location

The MDL is located in the Institute for Mental Health Research (IMHR) suite on the fourth floor of Patton Hall (RLP), 305 E. 23rd St., Austin, TX 78712. The IMHR waiting room is located in RLP 4.106, and is to your right when you get off the elevators on the fourth floor.

Entrance

Our office is located on the 4th floor of Patton Hall (RLP 4.106), 305 E. 23rd St., Austin, TX 78712.

From our street parking at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, walk north toward 23rd St. Turn left onto 23rd St. and walk toward the traffic circle. Keep left in the traffic circle and take the stairs on the left up and turn left immediately into Patton Hall (RLP). Elevators are inside to the right. Alternatively, you can take the ramp on the left before the stairs, which will take you to the ground floor of the building. Elevators are located at the end of the hall. Our office is located on the 4th floor. A waiting room, with office number 4.106, is available to your right when you get off the elevators.

Driving Directions

Directions from Mopac (Loop 1) coming from the north:

Take the Windsor Road exit. Turn right on to Windsor Road. Windsor Road turns into 24th Street. Take 24th Street to Guadalupe Street and turn left onto Guadalupe Street. Continue to the stoplight at W. Dean Keeton Street and turn right onto W. Dean Keeton Street. Continue to the stop light at San Jacinto Blvd and turn right onto San Jacinto. Parking is located at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center approximately two and a half blocks down on the right. See below for parking directions.

Take Exit 235B to Clyde Littlefield Dr. Turn left onto Manor Rd. and continue on Clyde Littlefield Dr. Turn right onto Robert Dedman Dr. Turn left onto 23rd St. Turn left onto San Jacinto Blvd. Parking is located at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center approximately two and a half blocks down on the right. Parking

Locate our parking spaces just south of the University of Texas Etter-Harbin Alumni Center. Parking signs are labeled “Reserved: Institute for Mental Health Research Official Visitor”. Upon arrival, be sure to clearly display your parking permit, printed on white paper only, on your vehicle’s dashboard. You will be ticketed without a dashboard permit. If you do not have a permit, please call 512-232-4750 for assistance.
