Mammals
There is a wide range of animals found in the park, including at least 6 species of amphibians, 29 species of reptiles, 57 species of birds, 10 species of small mammals (5 tenrecs, a shrew, 2 rodents), as well as 8-10 lemurs. The two species that have been studied the most at the Ankoatsifaka Research Station are the Verreaux’s sifaka and the fossa.
