The primary goal of all group services at the clinic is to help individuals build emotional resilience through learning practical, evidence-based skills.

Group services offer a supportive environment where participants can gain valuable tools for coping while connecting with others who may share similar experiences.

Our groups focus on education and skill-building for concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional difficulties. All groups are grounded in well-established, research-supported approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group

Our DBT Skills Group helps individuals build emotional resilience, manage stress effectively, and improve your relationships. A DBT Skills Group involves learning and practicing skills to help regulate behaviors and improve well-being. The group teaches research-backed DBT techniques designed to develop mindfulness skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen communication skills. Connect with fellow Austinites and grow together in a safe, understanding space!

This type of group therapy is structured so that each session, you’ll learn new skills. Like any other type of skills, these skills require practice, so you can expect to complete between session assignments designed to help you practice the skills throughout the week, and we’ll discuss as a group how this practice went at the beginning of each of our sessions.
