The Psychology Department Anxiety & Mood Clinic at The University of Texas at Austin provides high-quality, research-supported mental health services to the Austin community. We serve individuals experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional concerns. Our goal is to offer effective, evidence-based care in a compassionate and respectful environment.

Our clinic is also a vital part of UT Austin’s Clinical Psychology PhD Program, which is consistently ranked among the top training programs in the nation (#10 in U.S. News & World Report, 2020).

The program follows a clinical science model, emphasizing both research and the use of empirically supported treatments—especially cognitive behavioral therapies. It has been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1949 and by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) since 2019.

Services are provided by advanced doctoral students in clinical psychology who are carefully supervised by licensed psychologists. These student clinicians receive rigorous training in evidence-based assessment and therapy methods, ensuring that clients benefit from the latest scientific knowledge and best practices. Clients of the clinic can feel confident knowing they are receiving thoughtful, individualized care while also contributing to the training of the next generation of clinical scientists and practitioners.

By choosing The UT-Austin’s Psychology Department Anxiety & Mood Clinic, you are not only accessing affordable, high-quality mental health services—you are also supporting a program dedicated to advancing psychological science and preparing outstanding future clinicians.
