A graduate level seminar that surveys historical and recent work on group processes and the interplay of these processes with the self.\u00a0 Like the self and social interaction class, the specific content covered in the class changes each time as a function of recent developments in the field.<\/p>\n<p><b>*Close relationships, personality and the self.<\/b>\u2014Psychology 394V. A graduate level seminar that is designed to acquaint students with social psychological theory and research on the topic of close relationships as it intersects with personality and the self. Although some attention will be devoted to the historical roots of current perspectives, the bulk of the class will be devoted to discussing and evaluating recent research.\u00a0 The goal is to give students an in depth understanding of subtopics that have captured the attention of cutting edge researchers in relationships science.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>*Asterisks indicate that I teach a parallel class at the undergraduate level (Psychology 341K). The same topics are covered but there is less reading and the discussions are adapted for undergraduates.
