Dr. Stice has conducted 10 prospective studies investigating risk factors for future increases in eating pathology, body mass, and depression, including 3 that have involved brain imaging, genotypes, and their interactions. He has also conducted 11 randomized efficacy and effectiveness prevention trials and 2 treatment trials targeting eating disorders, obesity, and depression. In addition, he has conducted meta-analytic reviews of risk factor studies for eating disorders and prevention trials for eating disorders, obesity, and depression.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Paul Rohde, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Scientist at Oregon Research Institute (ORI). He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1988, at which time he began work at ORI. His current research focuses on the prevention of adolescent depression, eating disorders, and obesity, and on the treatment of comorbid depression and substance use disorders. Dr. Rohde has directed or co-directed 23 federally-funded research projects and has published over 150 research-based articles. He is a licensed psychologist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Aviva Johns, MSc, is lab manager and project coordinator for two NIMH funded studies, Body Project Treatment and Body Project Prevention. Aviva studied Chinese language, literature, and culture\u00a0in undergrad and spent time living in Taipei, Taiwan, and Beijing China. She earned a Master’s in Psychological Studies in Scotland at The University of Glasgow. Her Master’s dissertation explored the role of social media on male body image. Aviva’s research interests include eating disorders, trauma, suicide, and multicultural identity.<\/p>\n
