Study Title: Strategies for Responding to Stress
Objective: The goal of this study is to examine whether changes in your psychological and physiological responses differ based on different strategies for responding to stress. Participants will be asked to come into our lab for a 3.5 hour visit, during which time they will complete psychological questionnaires and complete a video recorded speech task. Measurements of height, wight, and resting heart rate will be taken throughout the experiment, as well as two saliva samples. All participants will be randomly assigned to one of 4 study conditions and may be asked to complete three 5-minute bouts of aerobic exercise at various intensities. Participation in this study will help the investigators understand how certain behaviors influence our response to stressful situations. Participants will be compensated $35 for their time.
