Undergraduate Research Assistants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As Undergraduate Research Assistants, students will have an opportunity to engage in all aspects of the research process: design experiments; create and program stimuli; conduct literature reviews; write protocols; lead and oversee recruitment efforts; interact with families and young children; run experiments, collect data in schools; code, process, and analyze data; assist with grant applications, manuscript preparations, conference presentations etc. The focus of the work will be determined by both interest and lab needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate Research Assistants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strong candidates will have a track record of research\/interest in racial and socioeconomic inequality in early childhood, exceptional quantitative skills, and experience with STATA. Graduate RAs will also have an opportunity to engage in all aspects of the research process: design experiments; create and program stimuli; conduct literature reviews; write protocols; lead and oversee recruitment efforts; interact with families and young children; run experiments, collect data in schools; code, process, and analyze data; assist with grant applications, manuscript preparations, conference presentations etc. Graduate RAs will also help to supervise and mentor a team of Undergraduate Research Assistants. The focus of the work will be determined by both interest and lab needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PhD Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For current and prospective doctoral students interested in joining the Resilience and Adversity in Children\u2019s Ecology lab, Dr. Ibekwe-Okafor mentors PhD students across the African and African Diaspora Studies, Psychology, and Education programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To work directly with Dr. Ibekwe-Okafor, please apply to the African and African Diaspora Studies program and indicate your interest in pursuing a dual degree in Psychology or Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research Scholars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Research Scholars receive honorariums to conduct independent research that align with the goals of the RACE lab. Research Scholars will have an opportunity to engage in all aspects of the research process: design experiments; create and program stimuli; conduct literature reviews; write protocols; lead and oversee recruitment efforts; interact with families and young children; run experiments, collect data in schools; code, process, and analyze data; assist with grant applications, manuscript preparations, conference presentations etc. The focus of the work will be determined by both interest and lab needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
