Welcome to the Monfils Memory Lab!
We seek to develop ways to target and attenuate fear memories, assess individual differences to optimize fear attenuation, as well as identify and understand factors that foster and hinder the social transmission of information between conspecifics. We follow rats through their lifespan and euthanize them humanely only when necessary to minimize suffering or at the end of their life.
*I will be accepting graduate applicants for Fall 2025 and 2026.
