Dr. Judith Langlois has been engaged in infant research since her days as a doctoral student. She is now the Charles and Sarah Seay Regents’ Professor of Developmental Psychology at UT. She regularly teaches courses on children’s social development.

Dr. Langlois received her Ph.D. from the Louisiana State University. Her research interests are social development and social information processing; infant development; the effects of individual characteristics (physical appearance, gender, age) on the differential socialization of males and females and on the development of social behavior; the origin of social stereotypes; the development of social competence.
