Thank you very much for your interest in our study. We are currently recruiting pregnant mothers, 18 years or older, in their second and third trimesters who are English or Spanish-speakers, and who are not having multiples (i.e., no twins or triplets).<\/p>\n

What your participation involves:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
\n

If you want to join the study, we will ask you to participate in three visits and complete some surveys.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

VISIT 1 – INTRO VISIT:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • One virtual visit over Zoom, or at the UT campus based on your preference.<\/li>\n
  • Interview with mom about wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    VISIT 2 – HOME SESSION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Once your baby is 6-months old!<\/li>\n
    • Activities with mom and baby to learn about your baby at home.<\/li>\n
    • We will leave you with our devices for one week.<\/li>\n
    • You and your baby will wear these devices for up 24 hours.<\/li>\n
    • You will answer short surveys on your phone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      VISIT 3 – UT SESSION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Once your baby is 12-months old!<\/li>\n
      • More parent-child interaction activities with your baby at UT Austin!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        What Visit 2 – Home Session looks like:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
        \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
        First, two members of our lab will come to your home. We’re available for visits most weekdays and weekends, so you let us know what place and time works best for you.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        Then, we will explain the activities and the home visit, answer questions, and show you the sensors your baby will wear.If we’re at your house, please don’t clean up for us! We know things get messy, and life is busy!<\/td>\n\"\"<\/p>\n

        <\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        We’ll also give you some questionnaires to fill out while a research assistant plays with your child.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        Then, we’ll help you and your child put on wearable devices. You and your child will wear a white activity monitor, and your child will also wear an audio recorder in a special shirt!<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        Once the devices are on and comfortable, we’ll do some structured play activities.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        If you happen to be at the session with your partner, or if other family members are home, we may ask you to continue life as you normally would if we were not there!<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        At the end of the home visit, we’ll help you begin your home recording session.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
