About the lab<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Based in the College of Liberal Arts, the lab connects humanistic inquiry with methods from across the humanities and social sciences. Our work ranges from collections and community archives to historical environments, body art, and the study of movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We build digital tools and research workflows that make interpretation open to examination. Attention to evidence, authorship, access, and collaborative stewardship<\/strong> guides how we document, model, and share this work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lab director<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Craig Stevens<\/strong> is an archaeologist and Assistant Professor of African and African Diaspora Studies in UT Austin\u2019s Department of Social and Cultural Analysis. His research connects archaeology, digital heritage, museums, and collaborative interpretation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
